The latest jump in European power prices has prompted calls by Norway’s ruling party to limit power exports, including ending sales on two cables to Denmark.
Dropping the Danish link when the contract is up for renewal in 2026 will be one of the main points in the Labor Party election manifesto ahead of the vote next September, according to members responsible for assembling the document. Power prices for Thursday in the Oslo region jumped to their highest since December 2022, but retreated 65% for Friday.
