Marriott Buys Postcard Cabins as It Plans Outdoor Hospitality Brand

The move by Marriott follows the recent rise of outdoor lodging brands that are more upscale than traditional campsites or cottages.

Marriott is acquiring Postcard Cabins, which has more than 1,200 units across the US, according to a statement Thursday. Marriott also entered a long-term franchise agreement with Trailborn, an operator of boutique hotels near the Grand Canyon and other US destinations.
