France’s nuclear generation rose to its highest level in almost five years as Electricite de France SA’s fleet of reactors helped offset a slump in European wind power output.

The firm’s 56 units produced at a level of 51,906 megawatts as of 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to data from grid operator RTE. At the same time, wind generation in Germany, Europe’s biggest power market, was forecast at just a tiny fraction of that, according to a Bloomberg model.
