Tilman Fertitta has purchased Keens Steakhouse, an iconic New York City restaurant that traces its roots to the 1880s and is famous for its mutton chops and slate of high-profile diners that have included the late Anthony Bourdain.
The billionaire chairman of Houston-based Landry’s — and owner of the NBA’s Rockets — paid $30 million for the spot on 36th street, according to property records.
