Lender NewPoint to Explore Options Including Capital Raise

NewPoint Real Estate Capital, which originates and services loans to residential landlords, is exploring strategic options including a capital raise.

NewPoint is working with an adviser to solicit interest from potential investors, according to people familiar with the effort who asked not to be identified citing private information. Any transaction could value the company at more than $400 million, one of the people said.
