Ken Griffin followed some conservative political victories — like stopping the legalization of marijuana in Florida and securing a Republican majority in the US Senate — by supporting one of Miami’s more progressive cultural institutions.

The Perez Art Museum Miami, where current exhibits meditate on climate change, abortion access and the experience of an artist living on the US-Mexico border, announced a $10 million gift from the Citadel founder.
