Republican incumbent Deb Fischer beat back a challenge from independent Dan Osborn to win reelection to her Nebraska Senate seat, according to the Associated Press.
Osborn, a mechanic-turned-union-leader and first-time candidate, had closed in on Fischer in the final weeks of the campaign.
