Spanish Startup Inbrain Raises $50 Million for Brain Device

Company joins rivals like Elon Musk’s Neuralink in effort to treat neurological disorders with technology.

European brain-computer interface company Inbrain Neuroelectronics SL has raised $50 million to develop its graphene-based neural technologies, the company said.

The Barcelona-based startup is building devices that could one day treat neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. It joins a cadre of brain-computer startups, including Elon Musk’s Neuralink Corp., working on conditions ranging from paralysis to depression to blindness.
