CaixaBank SA, Spain’s third-largest bank by market value, is planning to create a team of hundreds of artificial intelligence and IT experts as it prepares to put the booming technology as one of the pillars of its new strategy.
AI and other technology will feature prominently in an investor presentation by Chief Executive Officer Gonzalo Gortazar Rotaeche scheduled for Nov. 19, people with knowledge of the matter said. The plan includes new hirings and internal staff movements, they said, asking not to be identified discussing non-public information.
