The chief executive officer of Northvolt AB says he will personally support a new financing round by shareholders as the EV battery maker grapples with a cash crunch and a roll back of its operations in Sweden.

“As an owner I will support the capital round,” CEO Peter Carlsson said in written comments to Svenska Dagbladet, the newspaper reported on Wednesday.
