Verizon Communications Inc. said Monday its engineers resolved a network problem that interrupted service for a number of customers.

As of 7:49 p.m. New York time, fewer than 3,000 customers were reporting connection issues to Downdetector, a website that records consumer complaints. The problem peaked at around 11 a.m., when more than 100,000 people reported issues.
