Burundi Offers to Contribute Security Officers to Haiti Force

Burundi is ready to commit personnel to an international force helping Haiti tackle criminal gangs, according to its foreign affairs ministry.

Kenya has already sent 400 police officers to help quell violence that’s plaguing the capital, Port-au-Prince. Other nations including Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, and Jamaica have indicated they could contribute to the multinational support mission.
