Even longtime New Yorkers who follow city government closely might need a scorecard to keep track of all of the investigations involving New York Mayor Eric Adams and his inner circle.
On Sept. 26, Adams, a Democrat, was indicted by federal authorities on a range of fraud and bribery charges. The mayor, who was previously a police captain and then Brooklyn borough president, was elected in 2021 from a crowded field of candidates on a platform of law and order.
