Belarus said air-defense units downed drones in its airspace, acknowledging for the first time that it had shot at aerial targets during a reported Russian barrage against neighboring Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military said dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles had been launched in an overnight attack by Kremlin forces, with most of them heading west through northern regions. While 60 were shot down, tracking of 15 was lost and at least one flew into Belarus, the Ukrainian air-defense forces said on Telegram Thursday.
