An outage that disabled mobile ordering at Starbucks Corp. for hours on Tuesday was connected to issues affecting Microsoft Corp.’s Azure cloud service, according to a person familiar with the matter who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.
Mobile ordering has largely been restored, Starbucks said in a statement at around 1 p.m. New York time. The company is working to address “pockets of limited interruption” that continue, a spokesperson said.
