US Vice President Kamala Harris launched a bid for the Democratic presidential nomination following Joe Biden’s exit from the 2024 race, seizing the endorsement of her boss to quickly become the party’s frontrunner.
“I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” Harris said in a statement on Sunday. “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party — and unite our nation — to defeat Donald Trump.”
