Germany’s second-largest union won a wage increase of some 12.6% for workers in wholesale and foreign trade in Baden-Wuerttemberg, one of the country’s biggest states.

Pay will increase in three steps, and workers are set to receive additional tax-free inflation bonuses, the union known as ver.di said in an emailed statement late Monday. The deal covers roughly 190,000 employees, runs through April 2026 and has yet to be officially sealed.
