US Money-Market Fund Assets Rise to Record $6.15 Trillion

Money-market fund assets rose to a fresh record on expectations short-term rates will remain elevated as Federal Reserve policymakers continued to signal they are in no rush to ease monetary policy.

About $51.2 billion flowed into US money-market funds in the shortened week through July 2, the biggest inflow in three months, according to Investment Company Institute data. Total assets rose to $6.15 trillion from $6.10 trillion in the prior week, surpassing a prior record high reached three weeks ago.
