In Nantucket, New Hotels Go Big on Style and Easy on the Wallet

For all the ways Nantucket seems to one-up itself year after year, its hotel scene has been pretty sleepy for several seasons. In 2024 there’s finally news to spare, with upgrades all over the central historic downtown and in farther-flung corners. While the names of the four properties that stand out most might seem to be familiar, each is so dramatically rebranded, relaunched or otherwise reimagined that they’re all but unrecognizable. Better yet, you can still find rooms at some of them for less than $400 this summer.
