Arianespace’s latest heavy-lift rocket is scheduled to launch for the first time on July 9 following several delays, a lift-off attempt that aims to improve Europe’s sovereign access to space.
Ariane 6’s debut will go ahead next month from a spaceport in French Guiana, the European Space Agency said Tuesday at the ILA Berlin Air Show. The second launch is targeted before the end of 2024, with plans to reach 10 lift-offs a year in the future, Arianespace Chief Executive Officer Stéphane Israël said in a statement.
