A Quebec judge rejected McGill University’s request for an injunction to remove a large protest encampment, saying the school failed to prove an urgent need to dismantle it.
The pro-Palestinian protest site has occupied a part of McGill’s campus in Montreal since April 27. The protesters, like their counterparts at US universities, want administrators to divest holdings of companies that do business in Israel and cut ties with Israeli academic institutions, among other demands.
