France Seals Deals on Poultry, Pork and Wine Exports to China

France sealed agreements on pork and wine sales to China, while also protecting poultry exports in the event of a spread of the avian flu.
French Agriculture Minister Marc Fesneau and Yu Jianhua, the Minister of China’s General Administration of Customs, signed the deals in Paris this week during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit. Trade relations have been a key focus of the state meetings after distrust toward Beijing has grown in Europe, and Xi urged France to oppose decoupling.
