ECB Shouldn’t Cut in Both June and July, Holzmann Tells Platow
A rate cut at the ECB’s next policy meeting in June looks increasingly assured, but there’s disagreement over what happens after that.

The European Central Bank should refrain from back-to-back interest rate cuts in June and July, Governing Council member Robert Holzmann told Platow Brief in an interview.
While the hawkish Austrian official supports the initial move — as long as inflation doesn’t prove stickier than expected — he opposes the second, saying there’ll be little additional information available by mid-July with which to make a decision.
