Turkish Airlines is in talks with Boeing Co. and Airbus SE for an additional 235 airplanes, following its 230-jet mega-order with the European planemaker in December.

The national flag carrier is seeking 150 more narrowbody and 75 wide-body aircraft, as well as 10 freighters, Ahmet Bolat, the chairman of Istanbul-based Turkish, said at an event Monday. The added planes would be part of the airline’s goal of building its fleet to more than 800 planes by 2033, Bolat said.
