Unilever Plc sales jumped more than expected in the first quarter as Chief Executive Officer Hein Schumacher pushes ahead with his turnaround plan and shoppers come back to premium brands.

The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods group saidBloomberg Terminal sales rose 4.4% in the first three months of the year, ahead of analyst expectations of 3.5%. It also increased volumes for the second consecutive quarter as the stock cube and soap maker tries to win back market share.
