UK electricity prices are set to fall further than expected, easing household energy bills but remaining well above pre-crisis levels.

Wholesale power, which helps determine how much consumers pay, will average £82 ($103) a megawatt-hour in the 2024-25 fiscal year, according to estimates from Cornwall Insight Ltd. That’s 27% below the consultant’s forecast at the end of last year as ample gas stockpiles have kept the market well-supplied during a mild winter.
