Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be admitted to hospital on Sunday night for hernia surgery, even as Israel’s government is under increasing pressure to reach a hostage deal and cease-fire with Hamas.

The Israeli premier also plans to hold a press conference Sunday evening, his office said without providing more details.
