Ariel Investments founder John W. Rogers says his peers on Wall Street are too pessimistic on media giant Paramount Global and real estate company Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.

Both companies — which rank among the Ariel Fund’s major holdings — are set to hand money managers strong returns in the coming years, despite recent uncertainty, Rogers said Monday on Bloomberg Television. Ariel is the oldest mutual fund firm in the US, with $15 billion in assets under management.
