Texas State Representative Cody Vasut, a Republican from outside Houston, believes in the horseshoe theory of politics, which holds that on some issues, the far right is closer to the far left than the center. That’s how Vasut, who proudly identifies as “one of the most conservative members” of the Texas House, found himself at YIMBYtown, a pro-housing conference in Austin.
