UK Needs ‘Huge Increase’ in Ammunition, Armed Forces Chief Says

The UK needs a “huge increase” in its ammunition supplies after two years of military aid to help Ukraine fight off its Russian invaders depleted stocks, the head of Britain’s armed forces said.

Amid an increasing debate in the UK about how far the size of the country’s armed forces has fallen, Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Tony Radakin said on Tuesday that Britain’s aim isn’t to recreate a military on a par with its level during the Cold War, but that nevertheless military chiefs are working to make the British Army “more deployable and more lethal.”
