Toyota Motor Corp. will temporarily suspend shipments of 10 vehicle models after supplier Toyota Industries Corp. disclosed certification problems with some diesel engines.
An investigative committee found irregularities in testing for horsepower output, the Japanese carmaker said in a statement Monday. When certifying engines, Toyota used software that differed from what it used for mass production, leading to less variation.
