Saudi Arabia’s membership in the BRICS bloc of emerging economies, expected to have been formalized on Jan. 1, is not yet a done deal according to several top Saudi officials.
The oil rich country is “still evaluating” an invitation to join the economic bloc of emerging economies, Faisal Al Ibrahim, the kingdom’s Minister of Economy and Planning, said on a Bloomberg TV interview during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
