Donald Trump blasted New York’s three-month fraud trial against him during a surprise closing statement in court Thursday, but was cut off by Justice Arthur Engoron as the former president claimed the case was a political witch hunt.
“This is not consumer fraud, it’s a fraud on me,” Trump said after his lawyer, Christopher Kise, had concluded his closing statement in the case — but before the judge granted Trump permission to speak.
