Fani Willis, the Atlanta-area district attorney, improperly hired a romantic partner to help prosecute election fraud charges against Donald Trump and 18 others, a co-defendant of the former president alleged in a court filing.
Willis hired attorney Nathan Wade to work as a special prosecutor on the election case while they had a romantic relationship, according to the filing Monday in Fulton County Superior Court. Wade, a private attorney, has been paid $653,881, and they’ve traveled to California, Florida and the Caribbean, according to the filing.
