A top private equity executive has defended the bosses of Asda from accusations that they are unfairly pushing up food and gas prices.
“Mohsin and Zuber (Issa) in our view are two of the most successful entrepreneurs the UK’s produced,” Gary Lindsay, a managing director at TDR Capital, told politicians, when questioned about the firm’s decision to team up with the brothers and buy Asda.
