Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he will submit to Congress constitutional reforms to increase workers’ purchasing power before the end of his term.

The reform seeks to ban increases to the minimum wage that fall below the inflation rate, thereby boosting workers’ income in real terms, the Mexican leader said in the province of Veracruz, according to El EconomistaBloomberg Terminal newspaper.
