Money-market assets rebounded after back-to-back weekly declines, led higher by flows into government funds.

About $16.4 billion flowed into US money-market funds in the week through Dec. 27, according to Investment Company Institute data. Total assets rose to $5.89 trillion from $5.87 trillion the week prior.
