Artificial intelligence may not put Taylor Swift out of work anytime soon, but some experts said the technology is poised to upend a less-discussed corner of the music industry: video game soundtracks.
Ryan Groves, co-founder and chief technology officer of sound production company Infinite Album, said “it’s going to be pretty hard to compete” with AI in building production music libraries, such as those used for soundtracks in video games. “There’s going to be jobs that are lost to AI,” he said.
