European natural gas futures fell for a second day as traders weighed unusually mild weather and brimming inventories against winter supply risks.

Benchmark contracts closed 1.2% lower after fluctuating earlier. Since mid-October, they have traded in a relatively tight range, reflecting both strong inventories and Europe’s persistent vulnerability to supply interruptions.
