Le Maire Says He’ll Make Sure Atos Strategic Unit Remains French

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said he will make sure that the strategic businesses of embattled tech company Atos SE will remain French — including by using investment screening tools.
“My sole responsibility — and believe me, I’ll use it with all the necessary rigour — is to ensure that the strategic activities of Atos remain under French control,” Le Maire told a Senate committee on Tuesday. “I have the means to do it thanks to the decree on foreign investment in France — to ensure the capital of Atos on strategic activities remains under exclusive French control.”
