The head of Ripple says that the company would welcome a chance to take its legal fight with the Securities and Exchange Commission over the XRP crypto token all the way to the Supreme Court.
Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s chief executive officer, said on Wednesday that the firm has already spent more than $150 million on legal defenses in its case with the SEC. The regulator sued Ripple in 2020, claiming the firm broke its rules when it raised money by selling the digital token without registering it as a security.
