Rick Pitino Taps Wall Street, Goldman in St. John’s Revival Bid

For Rick Pitino, the road to revival at St. John’s runs through Wall Street.

The 71-year-old coach, back in the Big East in an era when athletes are paid and have endorsement deals, recently tapped a former Goldman Sachs executive to teach his players about managing their money. He’s also been networking with the university’s alumni in finance. And on Tuesday, he brought his team to the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell.
