UOB Profit Climbs on Wealth, Credit Card Fees

United Overseas Bank Ltd. third-quarter profit expanded, powered by higher lending and strong fee income from wealth and credit cards.

Net income excluding one-off items rose 5% to S$1.48 billion ($1.1 billion) from a year earlier in the three months ended Sept. 30, Southeast Asia’s third-largest lender said Thursday. That was in line with the average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News.
