The UK Space Agency teamed up with human space-travel company Axiom to fly astronauts to the International Space Station for scientific research, part of Britain’s ambitions to play a bigger role in space exploration.

The two groups signed an accord on Wednesday, though a spokesman from the UK Space Agency said it’s too early to confirm dates for the actual mission. A spaceflight to the ISS runs at about £50 million ($60.8 million) per seat, but the cost and scope of the Axiom mission depends on how much interest there is from possible commercial partners, he said.
