Former Burundian central bank Governor Dieudonné Murengerantwari has been arrested for alleged fraud, money laundering and corruption three days after he was fired.

He was arrested alongside businessman Sylvestre Niyonsaba, the East African nation’s Chief Prosecutor Leonard Manirakiza said in a statement.
