Take a recent trip Marchant made in the Patagonian wilds of Southern Chile. After a long hike through thickets, his party of nine friends and colleagues arrived at a plateau facing glacial lakes surrounded by mountain peaks. Their guide had set up basic food and cold beers—a simple opportunity to stop and smell the proverbial roses.
