Staveley Repays £10 Million Loan to Ex-Newcastle Owner Ashley

Amanda Staveley, who led Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund to its £305 million ($374 million) acquisition of Premier League team Newcastle United FC, has repaid a £10 million loan to former owner Mike Ashley.

“Amanda and Mehrdad — her husband — would like to take this opportunity in thanking Mr Ashley for the provision of the loan - and separately for the support to the whole consortium over the purchase of Newcastle United,” says a statement from PCP Capital Partners, Staveley’s investment business.
