Burundi President Replaces Central Bank Governor After 14 Months

Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye appointed Edouard Normand Bigendako as central bank governor, according to a decree signed on Oct. 8 and handed to reporters.
Bigendako replaces Dieudonné Murengerantwari, who was appointed in August 2022.
