European natural gas prices slumped as unusually warm weather destroys demand already eroded by weak industrial consumption.

The contract for November delivery declined as much as 9%, touching the lowest since December 2021. It has dropped more than 15% in the past week. Day-ahead prices plunged as much as 20%.
