Germany-Backed SEFE Set to Take First Russian LNG Since Crisis

A former trading unit of Gazprom PJSC is poised to obtain liquefied natural gas from Russia for the first time since Germany nationalized the company during last year’s energy crisis.
Securing Energy for Europe GmbH, which Berlin pried away from the Russian gas giant, on Oct. 1 plans to load LNG produced by the Yamal plant in Siberia, port data show. SEFE’s Amur River vessel will pick up the cargo via transshipment at Zeebrugge, Belgium and deliver it in India.
